About Brian and Susan
|
Brian and Susan Puttock started their dance career together at age 14 and successfully competed in Junior, Youth and Adult Amateur events. An early highlight was winning the British Youth Standard division in Blackpool. After turning Professional and emigrating to the U.S. they continued competing and became U.S. Professional Standard Champions for 3 consecutive years. In this period they also represented the U.S. at the World Championships on three occasions. At the present time, they are involved in coaching, organizing and judging at many events throughout the country as well as internationally. Brian is currently the Second Vice President of The National Dance Council of America.

About Hilda

Hilda started with ballet in her early teens then discovered ballroom dancing shortly thereafter,completing bronze, silver and gold medal levels. She began competing professionally in London, reaching finals and semi finals of many events, including finishing eighth in the United Kingdom Nine Dance Championship. Moving to the United States and teaching for the chain organizations, Hilda competed briefly making the finals at U.S.B.C. and I.S.T.D. Championships on the East Coast. With her late husband she then opened the Imperial Academy in California, a large school and ballroom.
